Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Often, unhelpful thought patterns can keep us stuck in cycles of stress, worry, or low mood. CBT gives you tools to recognize these patterns and learn healthier ways of thinking and responding. It’s a collaborative process—you and your therapist work together to set goals, practice strategies, and apply them in real-life situations. Over time, CBT can help you feel more in control, improve your coping skills, and create lasting positive changes in how you experience challenges.

Somatic therapy is a holistic approach that focuses on the connection between your mind and body. Many of us carry stress, trauma, or difficult emotions in physical ways—such as tension, tightness, or restlessness. Somatic therapy helps you gently tune into these body signals and use techniques like grounding, breathing, movement, or guided awareness to release stored stress and restore balance. Instead of only talking about challenges, somatic therapy involves both conversation and body-based practices, helping you feel more present, calm, and resilient. Over time, this approach can support healing from trauma, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized therapy designed to help people heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. Trauma can sometimes get “stuck” in the brain and body, leading to overwhelming memories, strong emotional reactions, or ongoing anxiety. EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess those difficult memories in a safer, less distressing way. This allows you to move forward without being as triggered by the past.

In addition to EMDR, trauma therapy can include other evidence-based approaches, such as somatic therapy (which focuses on how trauma is stored in the body), grounding techniques, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for trauma. These therapies help you feel more in control, build resilience, and restore a sense of safety. Trauma therapy doesn’t erase what happened, but it can reduce the emotional pain tied to those memories and support long-term healing.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) are two approaches that help people navigate difficult thoughts and emotions in healthier ways.

ACT focuses on learning how to accept what you cannot control, while committing to actions that align with your personal values. Instead of trying to “get rid of” uncomfortable feelings, ACT helps you make space for them while still building a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

DBT is especially helpful for managing strong emotions, improving relationships, and finding balance between acceptance and change. It teaches practical skills in four key areas: mindfulness (staying present), distress tolerance (getting through tough moments without making things worse), emotion regulation (understanding and managing feelings), and interpersonal effectiveness (building healthier communication and boundaries).

Both ACT and DBT provide tools you can use every day to feel more grounded, resilient, and in control of your choices.

Types of Therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual psychotherapy, is a one-on-one process where you meet with a trained therapist to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and confidential space. The focus is on you—your story, your challenges, and your goals. Therapy can help you gain insight into patterns that may be holding you back, learn healthier coping strategies, and build new ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges. Sessions may involve talking through concerns, practicing new skills, or exploring past experiences that influence your present. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply wanting personal growth, individual psychotherapy offers a supportive relationship to help you feel understood and empowered to make positive changes in your life.

Couples Therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

Couples psychotherapy, often called couples counseling or marriage therapy, is a safe and supportive space where partners work together with a trained therapist to strengthen their relationship. The focus is on improving communication, deepening understanding, and addressing patterns that may be causing conflict or distance. In sessions, couples learn practical tools to manage disagreements, rebuild trust, and support each other’s emotional needs. Whether you’re navigating ongoing challenges, healing from a specific issue, or simply wanting to strengthen your bond, couples therapy provides guidance to help both partners feel more connected, respected, and supported in the relationship

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. It focuses on helping partners build stronger relationships by learning practical tools to communicate more effectively, manage conflict in healthy ways, and deepen emotional intimacy. In therapy, couples learn how to strengthen their friendship, nurture respect and appreciation, and create a shared vision for the future. The Gottman Method also teaches skills for calming down during disagreements, breaking negative cycles, and reconnecting after conflict. By focusing on both the strengths and challenges in a relationship, this method helps couples create lasting trust, closeness, and resilience together.

Family Therapy

Individual Therapy

Children Therapy

Family therapy is a form of counseling that involves multiple family members working together with a trained therapist to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. It recognizes that family dynamics—how members interact, support, and influence each other—can impact emotional well-being. In sessions, families learn practical strategies to address challenges, understand each other’s perspectives, and develop healthier patterns of interaction. Family therapy can help with a wide range of issues, including parenting challenges, blended family adjustments, behavioral concerns, or coping with major life changes. The goal is to create a supportive environment where all family members feel heard, respected, and connected.

Children Therapy

Adolescent Therapy

Children Therapy

Child psychotherapy is a supportive form of therapy designed specifically for children and adolescents to help them cope with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges. In a safe and nurturing environment, a therapist works with the child to understand their feelings, develop healthy coping skills, and improve communication and problem-solving abilities. Therapy often includes play, art, or other age-appropriate activities to help children express themselves when words are difficult. Child psychotherapy can help with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral difficulties, or challenges at school or home. The goal is to empower children to understand their emotions, build resilience, and thrive both at home and in their daily lives.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescent therapy is a supportive form of counseling tailored for teenagers to help them navigate the unique emotional, social, and developmental challenges of this stage of life. In therapy, teens work with a trained therapist to explore their thoughts and feelings, build coping skills, and improve communication and decision-making. Common issues addressed in adolescent therapy include anxiety, depression, peer pressure, family conflicts, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. Sessions often incorporate age-appropriate techniques, including conversation, creative expression, and goal-setting, to help teens feel understood and empowered. The goal of adolescent therapy is to support healthy emotional growth, resilience, and the development of skills that will benefit them now and into adulthood.
